Director Michael Sherrington has directed three episodes for the latest season of BBC Scotland’s TUNE: Howlin’ to the Wind sessions. The stripped down sets see Scottish talent performing in unusual and striking locations where songs are allowed to take on new textures and tonalities. Ninth Wave were shot on 16mm film in Glasgow’s Necropolis Cemetary, with The Snuts’ frontman Jack performing unplugged with a cellist in Hamilton Mausoleum (which once held the record for the world’s longest echo!) and jazz singer Kitti on a hidden roof terrace.
