Director Blair Young took a composed photographic approach to his latest piece, this promo for Domino Records artist Spinning Coin’s new single ‘Raining On Hope Street’. Captured on beautiful 16mm for a beautiful song it is a poignant and reflective film.
We recently made this striking new commercial with The Leith Agency for Road Safety Scotland and the Scottish Government as part if their Don’t Risk It campaign. Director Oscar Sansom combines some seriously emotive performances with dynamic, technical camera trickery to create an arresting work, which tackles the incredibly important message about the possible implications of speeding.
Director Michael Sherrington created this promo for Decca Records’ latest signing The Ayoub Sisters capturing the sisters’ infectious personalities as well as their recording session with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra. A lovely way to get into the festive spirit.
Oscar directed this high energy promo for The LaFontaines new single ‘Release The Hounds’. The band gets political in this latest video as we see them cast as modern day Robin Hoods; doing some forced redistribution of wealth. The striking, gritty aesthetic and sociopolitical commentary is beautifully juxtaposed by a tong-in-cheek humour which the band do so well.
Earlier in the year we traveled to Los Angeles where Director Blair Young continued his relationship with Warner Music artists Biffy Clyro. Creating content for there latest album ‘Ellipsis’. From album teasers to a full documentary ‘Record This’ It has been great working with the band again.
Director Michael Sherrington completes a trilogy of work for Easy Life/Sony Music UK Artist’s Fatherson. Through the use of multiple formats including 16mm, Michael has created a vibrant and energetic performance promo covering the band on tour for their latest single ‘Wondrous Heart’. We recommend catching them live if you get the chance.
Twin Atlantic’s Promo ‘The Chaser’ saw director Oscar Sansom and the band take on the challenge of creating a multi-perspective POV promo, set around a single hedonistic evening in a neon saturated nightclub in Glasgow, where the band played there first show. A bold and visually arresting video, Kerrang call it: “a 21st Century update of The Prodigy’s ultra-controversial ‘Smack My B**** Up’…” See if you can spot some of Glasgow’s indie scene alumni amongst the crowd.
The Pictish Trail’s ‘Dead Connection’ promo see’s Director Ciaran Lyon create a visually stunning piece using his signature aesthetic of mixing photography and illustration. A painstaking process has Ciaran illustrating on each frame to create these wonderfully hyper-realistic worlds. Wonderful, twisted and mesmerising.
Ciaran has been busy with The Forest of Black producing incredible Visual work. Recently directing this promo for Get Twisted Records/Sony Artist LiTek’s Song ‘Drop That’ ft Grace Davies. Shot in an abandoned but incredible location that Ciaran and Beth totally didn’t break into when they came across it during location scouting, its a mix of live action and animation.
